I always knew I wanted very classic and elegant wedding invitations. I chose a formal, traditional cursive font that we also used for our dinner menus. I worked with my friend Natalia of Del Rivero Design to compose the stationary suite which included the invitations, menus, and custom matches. For the back of the envelopes, we used the same monogram that was stitched onto my wedding napkins. We also used it again for the matches so everything was cohesive. We had Laura Lines Calligraphy handwrite the addresses in a beautiful script that I had chosen from her site. There was some bleeding/transfer of the ink she used – even after several days of it drying – so I do recommend working closely with whoever you choose as your calligrapher to put protective liner between each envelope.
