Life is meant to be enjoyed. I repeat, life is meant to be enjoyed. This is such a simple statement – one that rings so true – and yet many of us do not live by it. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to realize just how precious life is and how truly fleeting time is. The things I once valued in my 20s are no longer relevant or as relevant – and my priorities have shifted as I’ve grown up. Today, as a 34 year old woman, I value my relationship with myself first and foremost. Nothing comes before my mental, physical or spiritual health and wellbeing. After that, comes my husband, my family, and my friends. And then way down the list after several other things that are important to me, you’ll find my job. While I absolutely value my job and am so grateful for it, it just isn’t at the top of my priority list anymore.
I can proudly and confidently say I have achieved every single career milestone I have ever wanted to achieve. While it is bittersweet to write this, I know it is the right decision for me. I am saying goodbye to my blog; With Love From Kat.
To those of you who have been following me and cheering me on since I was that 22 year old girl who moved to NYC to make it in the fashion industry – thank you. To those of you who have found me somewhere along the way and are still here today – thank you. It’s been so incredible connecting with all of you for the last 12+ years! I’ve talked to you about everything from fashion advice to decor tips, break ups, cross country moves, therapy, my engagement, my wedding and more. You’ve grown up with me and celebrated so many special, big life milestones with me!
I’m SO excited to continue growing with you and celebrating life’s milestones (as well as life’s everyday moments!) on Instagram. As tough as this decision was, I know it’s the right one for me. While I still love and appreciate long form content – and I know many of you do as well from the blog post I wrote a few months ago – as the year came to an end, I could no longer ignore the analytics. The analytics were clear as day – and they showed me that the majority of my followers consume, shop and engage with me through their mobile devices, specifically through Instagram and LTK. From a business standpoint, and from a time management standpoint, I am streamlining my content to run solely through these two platforms.
Instead of looking to the past, I am looking to the future. I am focusing on what’s most important to me, and leaving room for more fun, adventure, and new opportunities along the way. As I said, in the beginning, life is meant to be enjoyed and I intend to embrace and enjoy this next chapter! Cheers to a fresh start for 2023. xx
